What it is

Bamboo leaf — zhú yè (竹叶) — brings the scent of a bamboo grove after rain into the herbal cabinet. Slender, fresh and green, it has been brewed into cooling summer teas across China for centuries.

What tradition says

TCM uses bamboo leaf to clear heat and lift irritability (清热除烦) — the traditional antidote to hot, restless, can't-sit-still evenings. In a soak blend it is the cool inhale between all the warming herbs: think of it as the formula's fresh air.

Why it's in your bath

Bamboo leaf keeps our eight-treasure blend balanced and gives the steam rising off your basin that clean, green edge — the part of the ritual your lungs enjoy as much as your feet do.
