Chinese Herbal Bath Bombs

Most bath bombs are scent first, everything else second. Ours start from the other end — with the herbs.

Every Verdalence ball is built on the traditional Chinese medicine pantry: mugwort (艾草), aged ginger (老姜), chenpi — sun-dried tangerine peel aged like good tea — atractylodes, Sichuan pepper, poria. These are the same herbs Chinese families have boiled into bathwater for generations. We press them, with deep-sea salt and nothing synthetic, into a ball that dissolves in about sixty seconds.

The difference shows up in how you choose one. You don't pick by scent. You pick by how you feel: cold hands all winter, wired and can't sleep, heavy and foggy in the morning. If you're not sure which one that makes you, our Ritual Quiz sorts it out in eight questions.

Traditionally used in Chinese medicine for warming, settling and unwinding — and told about, one herb at a time, in the Herbal Almanac.
